PSHE Intent Statement

At Mylor Bridge School, we use the JIGSAW PSHE planning to implement a full and inclusive PSHE curriculum, ensuring coverage of all aspects of the primary PSHE National Curriculum.

It is our Intent in PSHE to hold children at the heart of teaching and content. To help Mylor Bridge children understand and value how they fit into and contribute to the world.

With strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health, we use Jigsaw 3-11  to deliver engaging and relevant PSHE within a whole-school approach. Jigsaw lessons also include mindfulness allowing children to advance their emotional awareness, concentration and focus.

Through our 4 learning powers of

  • Resilience
  • Resourcefulness
  • Relationships
  • Reflection
Children at MBS will be taught  how to celebrate : Being Me, Celebrate Differences, Dreams and Goals, Healthy Me, Relationships, Changing Me.
